West One Loans sponsors PGA Tour & DP World Tour golfer

West One Loans has signed a significant sponsorship deal with professional golfer Matt Wallace.

During 2023 Wallace (pictured) will be playing a combined schedule across the PGA Tour and the DP World (European) Tour. He secured his PGA Tour status for a fourth season last year by finishing in the top 125 on the FedEx Cup standings in 2022.

The PGA Tour is broadcast for more than 5,700 hours globally across 220 countries annually.

Additionally, the DP World Tour, where Wallace is a four-time winner, hosts a number of golf tournaments across the globe, spanning from the Middle East, Asia and Europe. It is also the Managing Partner of Ryder Cup Europe, the body which, alongside the PGA of America, administers The Ryder Cup.

The Englishman will carry the West One logo on his hat for the first time at this week’s WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale, which begins on Thursday 9 February , before heading to next week’s Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club in the United States.

Danny Waters, CEO of Enra Specialist Finance parent company of West One Loans, said: “When the opportunity arose for West One to sponsor Matt we jumped at the chance. Not only is he from just down the road in Pinner, but he is a prodigious international talent and we are extremely keen to help one of our own. His golf pedigree is undeniable. He has recorded several tour victories since 2016 and posted consistently top placings at PGA Tour and DP World Tour tournaments.

“Matt has competed at the highest level including at the US Open, the PGA Championship, The Masters, played alongside the likes of Tiger Woods at The Open Championship and is on the brink of Europe’s Ryder Cup team.

“I know Matt very well on a personal level and his tenacity, hard work and talent are evident in everything he does. Those are qualities we mirror, admire, and exhibit here at West One day in, day out. It has been a pleasure watching him develop his game and to see him rewarded as a result of his hard work and dedication. That pleasure is even greater when you consider he is a local lad and, like West One, is another fine example of a local success story.

“Working with Matt will elevate the visibility of the West One brand across the globe and further illustrates the ambitions we have as a business to expand on all fronts. We are looking forward to working closely with Matt and his team and wish him all the best for the coming season.”

Wallace added: “I’m delighted to be linking up with West One and representing Danny Waters and his team there. We’re from a similar area and West One is a great success story of innovation, strong growth and expansion based on solid principles, which is something we can all aspire to, whether it’s in business or in sport.

“I’m grateful for West One’s support and am proud to be wearing their logo on my hat on both the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour.”
