V Loans boosts bridging team

V Loans has appointed a business development manager and a case manager to its bridging team.

Jorge Gómez Fernández joins the second charge outfit as business development manager from Haya Real Estate where he was a Mortgage Underwriting Manager leading a team of 11 people.

He also worked at Bankia as a mortgage underwriting manager and at Caja Madrid.

Farah Akthar, who joins as case manager, is a recent graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University where she studied Financial Services, Planning and Management. She has undertaken number of work experience placements with companies in the financial sector such as Amicus and Handelsbanken.

Marie Grundy, managing director at V Loans, said: “The appointments come at an important time when some of the unintended consequences of MCD means there are certain bridging loans and buy to let transactions which would now need to be treated as regulated mortgage contracts.

“Strengthening our team with experienced specialists underlines our commitment to supporting brokers as they move through an increasingly complex regulatory environment.”
