UTB reveals ‘Meet the Specialists’ promo winner

Published on

United Trust Bank has announced that the winner of its 2016 ‘Meet the Specialists’ broker promotion is Rob Coles of Intelligent Loans.

The bank’s 2016 broker promotion gave participants an opportunity to ‘Meet the Specialists’ by offering them a choice of prizes which epitomise the bespoke, high quality products and services provided by British companies.

Coles was the first name randomly selected and he had the choice of a handmade Garrick watch, a bespoke luxury holiday from Abercrombie and Kent or a £5000 spending spree with a personal shopper in London’s famous Selfridges department store.

He chose the Selfridges spending spree and generously offered to share his prize with colleague Alun Winter. Both brokers travelled up from Cardiff to UTB’s Moorgate offices to receive the vouchers from Buster Tolfree, Nick Warren and Jigar Patel before heading straight over to Selfridges to meet their personal shopper.

Coles said: “I was delighted to get the phone call from Nick Warren saying I’d won the Meet the Specialists promotion. I’d completed a couple of UTB’s online mini-polls in the last few months and they took me about five minutes to do each one.

“I don’t mind sharing my views on the market and industry issues and it’s interesting to see how my views compare to others when UTB publishes the results. Winning the £5000 vouchers is an excellent bonus for something I happily do anyway.

“We’ve worked with UTB for several years on the bridging side and were impressed with their service. Now that we’ve joined their panel of master brokers for second charges we’re looking forward to developing our relationship with Buster and the mortgage team too.”

Tolfree, commercial director of mortgages, said: “It was great to meet Rob and Alun to present them with their Selfridges vouchers and it was brilliant that they were going straight off to the West End to spend them. We have worked with Intelligent Loans on several occasions over the last few years and we look forward to continuing to develop that relationship in the future.

“I’d like to thank Rob, Alun and all the brokers who supported the bank and this promotion. 2016 was another successful year for UTB. We once again increased our lending across all divisions and our new mortgage business had a very successful first year. We’ll soon be launching our 2017 broker promotion which will give brokers and property professionals the opportunity to win more exciting prizes throughout the year.”
