United Trust Bank makes asset finance underwriting hire

United Trust Bank has appointed Giles Hussey to join the underwriting team in the bank’s asset finance division.

Hussey (pictured) joins the bank from Hitachi Capital where he spent seven years and will report to senior underwriter, Peter Price. They previously worked together at ING.

UTB’s asset finance underwriting team now comprises Price, Charlotte Fenton, Hayley Macfarlane and Hussey.

Price said: “Having known Giles for a number of years, it’s great to team up with him once again.

“During his time at Hitachi, he has established a strong reputation as someone who values the broker/funder relationship and who brokers can work closely with. He will be a valued member of our team and adds capacity to deal directly with brokers and return quick decisions.

“This year has got off to a busy start at UTB and with the new ’20 plate registration period in full swing, his arrival couldn’t have come at a better time.”
