The Simplify Charitable Trust has donated £22,500 to nine charities working in communities across the UK.
Airedale Baby and Children’s Bank, Bodie Hodges Foundation, Cynthia Spencer Hospice, Dreamdrops, Elsie’s Story, LOROS, Mustard Tree, The Three Tumours and St Ives Foodbank have each received £2,500.
The charities were chosen by employees and are each connected to one of the conveyancing and property services group’s locations.
Kev Smith, chief operating officer for conveyancing delivery at Simplify and a trustee of the Simplify Charitable Trust, said: “This achievement is a direct reflection of our people.
“The passion, generosity and commitment shown by colleagues across Simplify has made this possible, and it’s a powerful example of how our values come to life through action.”
The money was raised through employee-led events, charity treks, sweepstakes and prize draws. Simplify representatives are visiting the charities to see how the donations are being used.
A recent visit was made to the Bodie Hodges Foundation in Leicester, which supports families after the death of a child. It provides counselling and specialist help for parents, siblings and blended families, and creates Memory Bags for children.
The Simplify Charitable Trust is a UK-registered charity. It also raises money each year for Snehalya, meaning Home of Love, a children’s home in India.
