TSB intermediary celebrates first 12 months

Published on

In the year since its launch, TSB Intermediary has welcomed over 18,000 new customers.

It has also signed up 8,000 brokers and launched 140 new products including the Fix & Flex mortgage.

When surveyed, 92% of brokers who have signed up said they trust TSB with their business.

In the first month following launch, TSB’s Intermediary hotlines took just 1,600 calls. By November 2015 this had grown 412% to over 8,200 call.

On average, TSB’s new mortgage enquiry line answered calls in 2.4 seconds and the average application to offer time is 12.9 days.

Roland McCormack, TSB’s mortgage intermediary director, said: “We’ve had an incredible year and I couldn’t be happier with what we’ve achieved in just 12 months. TSB was born to bring competition to the market and we’re already proving to be a significant player in the Intermediary space. I made a promise when we launched that we wouldn’t ever sacrifice our service standards for volume, and we’ve stuck to our guns on that by working extremely hard to provide a stand out service to brokers.

“I firmly believe that you can copy systems and products but you can’t replicate people and the service they deliver.  It’s clear our people are what has made this year so successful for TSB Intermediary.  That’s why we focused on recruiting experts who care about providing a stand out service and really supporting brokers with their business needs.

“I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all our TSB Partners for their dedication to building our business over the past year and most importantly, all of the brokers who have supported TSB by choosing to work with us.  I look forward to doing business with you all in 2016 and beyond.”
