Together expands intermediary sales team with two senior appointments

Together has strengthened its intermediary division with the appointment of two experienced industry figures, as the specialist lender continues to invest in broker support.

The Cheadle-based lender has confirmed that Lewis Wheeler and Michael Kelsey have joined its intermediary team, bringing decades of combined experience across specialist and mainstream mortgage markets.

Wheeler (pictured, left) joins Together with nearly 15 years’ experience in the mortgage industry, including 12 years in the specialist sector, and a total of 18 years in financial services.

He previously spent seven years as a business development manager at Pepper Money and held a number of roles during five years at Saffron Building Society, including lending services officer, telephone business development manager and senior business development manager.

In his new role, Wheeler will act as the face and voice of Together for intermediary partners across his region. Together currently has a loan book of more than £8 billion.

Wheeler said: “Since joining Together I have been incredibly impressed. For such a large company, the customer-focused culture really stands out, and it’s clear that everyone is committed to achieving the right outcomes.

“My goal is to add as much value as possible to our intermediary partners, drive growth for Together, and contribute to delivering exceptional customer outcomes.”

Kelsey (pictured, right) returns to Together as a concierge telephone account manager, bringing with him 29 years of experience across the mortgage and property finance sectors.

His career includes roles at Blemain Finance, First Choice Finance and Sterling Green, and most recently head of sales at Yellowstone Finance, where he worked closely with Together as a packager.

In his new position, Kelsey will work closely with a new cohort of brokers, focusing on relationship development and delivering a full packaging service. He brings detailed knowledge of Together’s commercial and personal finance propositions.

Kelsey said: “Together is a fabulous place to work and truly the juggernaut of the specialist lending industry. Our ability to fund is second to none, and the appetite for lending is unparalleled.

“My ambition is to develop meaningful relationships across my region with broker introducer partners and create a territory that delivers high levels of business.”

Tanya Elmaz, managing director of intermediary sales, said: “Both of our new starters bring exceptional sales expertise, a results-driven approach, and a genuine passion for uncovering opportunities and strengthening partnerships.

“At Together, our intermediary partners are at the heart of everything we do. By continuing to expand and invest in our team, we’re demonstrating our long-term commitment to brokers.

“These appointments will ensure we have even more dedicated support in place to understand their challenges, deliver the right solutions for their clients, and ultimately help more people realise their property ambitions.”
