TMG strengthens leadership team with sales and recruitment appointment

Published on

TMG Mortgage Network has appointed Jasmine Smith as head of sales and recruitment as it looks to accelerate growth and deepen support for its adviser base.

Smith joins the network from Melton Building Society, where she spent 10 years working closely with intermediary firms across the UK mortgage market. Most recently, she held the role of key account manager, developing long-standing broker relationships and supporting adviser growth.

In her new position, Smith will oversee TMG’s sales and recruitment strategy, with a focus on developing existing member firms while attracting new advisory businesses aligned with the network’s adviser-led approach.

Her remit will also include supporting brokers with their digital presence, including the use of social media to raise visibility and build sustainable businesses.

Commenting on her appointment, Smith said: “TMG is building something genuinely different in the mortgage market. I’ve worked with brokers across the UK for many years, and the common frustration is a lack of meaningful development, visibility, and forward thinking.

“What sets TMG apart is its ambition to change that — to back advisers properly, help them build strong personal brands, and support real business growth, not just compliance box-ticking. This is a network with momentum, clarity, and a clear belief in its people, and I’m excited to be part of that journey.”

The appointment forms part of a broader strategy by TMG to challenge more traditional network models and provide a more progressive environment for advisers focused on long-term growth.

Scott Thorpe, chief executive of TMG Mortgage Network, added: “Jasmine is a significant hire for us. She understands the realities brokers face, she understands growth, and she understands that this industry needs to evolve.

“As TMG continues to scale, our priority remains helping our members achieve their aspirations — whether that’s building stronger businesses, increasing their profile, or creating long-term value. Jasmine strengthens our leadership team and reinforces the direction we are heading.”
