Three hospices supported by the Hinckley & Rugby

Three Leicestershire and Warwickshire hospices are sharing £7,000 generated by savers choosing an affinity account at Hinckley & Rugby Building Society.~

More than £2,330 each is going to LOROS, which cares for people from Leicestershire and Rutland; The Myton Hospices, covering Coventry and Warwickshire; and Mary Ann Evans Hospice, based in Nuneaton and covering North Warwickshire.

The three hospices have now shared £25,000 from the account since its launch in 2008. The Hospice Affinity Savings Account sees 1% of its average balances donated by the Society to the charities each year.

The account also pays interest to the account’s savers – the minimum investment is £500 and the maximum investment is £300,000.

Denise Bradshaw, Hinckley & Rugby branch manager for Hinckley and Nuneaton, said: “Thanks to our customers choosing the Hospice Affinity Savings Account the Society is able to support three hospices which are deeply valued by our customers.

“Most people in the communities we serve will have been touched by the work of these hospices at some point.”
