The Yorkshire presents £100k to Teenage Cancer Trust

Staff and customers of Yorkshire Building Society have raised £100,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust in one month.

Yorkshire, Chelsea and Barnsley Building Society branches and agencies across the UK spent December working together in order to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity that exists to improve the lives of the 2,100 teenagers and young adults diagnosed with cancer in the UK every year.

Every penny raised by staff and donated by customers and members of the Society has been matched pound for pound by Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation. Meaning for every £1 donated towards the appeal the Charitable Foundation immediately doubled it to £2.

The £100,000 raised by staff and customers of the Society will go directly towards funding Teenage Cancer Trust’s annual gathering that brings together over 400 young people who have, or have had cancer.
