The Right Mortgage sets out agenda for 2026 national training event

The Right Mortgage has confirmed the agenda and speakers for its 2026 National Training Event, which will bring advisers, lenders and providers together in Birmingham this week.

The network’s flagship conference will take place on Thursday 12 March at the Vox Conference Centre, Resorts World in Birmingham.

The event, themed “Together we Grow”, is designed to bring member firms together for a day of discussion and insight aimed at helping advisers build stronger businesses in a changing mortgage market.

The programme will feature keynote presentations and panel sessions covering areas including technology, lending, protection and the economic outlook.

PROCEEDINGS

The day will begin with a welcome address from chief executive Martin Wilson and operations director Nicola Ventrella.

Ben Allen, managing director at The Right Mortgage, will deliver a session titled “Invested in Your Success”.

Delegates will also hear a keynote speech, “Modernising Tradition – A Journey of Cultural & Technological Change”, from Dame Inga Beale, former CEO of Lloyds.

An adviser panel session, “Pivotal Moments. Real Growth. Real Business.”, will be hosted by Amanda Wilson, commercial & strategy director at TRM. Panellists include Philippa Oliver of Kingsbridge Mortgages, Sam Clark of The Right Advice, James Sudworth of Righthomes and Darren Hunter of Hunter Mortgages.

Technology and innovation will also feature prominently on the agenda. Justus Brown, managing director of Acre, will lead a session titled “Brokers and the Future of Fintech”.

A separate technology panel discussion, “How Tech, AI & Innovation Are Redefining the Broker Advantage”, will be hosted by Nicola Ventrella and feature representatives from Acre, Halifax, Nationwide and NatWest.

Derek Burt, director of home operations at Lloyds Banking Group, will present a session titled “Shaping Tomorrow Together”.

Economic commentary will be provided by Liz Martins, UK economist at HSBC, with a presentation titled “The Narrow Path to a Pick-Up”.

The agenda also includes a mortgage market overview from Clare Beardmore, director at L&G Mortgage Club.

A further session on lending trends, “Innovative Lending: Shaping Tomorrow’s Market”, will be hosted by Victoria Clark, head of lending at TRM, with panellists from Coventry Building Society, HSBC, LiveMore Capital and Metro Bank.

Protection will also feature on the programme through a panel discussion titled “Has the Protection Review Planted the Seeds for Stronger Income Protection?”. The session will be hosted by Amy Wilson, head of insurance at TRM, with representatives from MetLife, National Friendly, Royal London, The Exeter and a member firm principal.

BREAKOUT SESSIONS AND EXHIBITOR HALL

The conference will also feature two breakout rooms covering later life lending and private medical insurance.

The later life lending room will host a series of lightning talks from Aviva, Canada Life, Family Building Society, Perenna and Pure Retirement.

The private medical insurance room will include presentations from April International, AXA Health, The Exeter and Vitality.

Alongside the main conference programme, an exhibitor hall will allow attendees to meet lenders and providers and explore new products and services.
