The Right Mortgage & Protection Network has announced the return of Robin Pearson to the business as its new head of risk.
Pearson (pictured0 will be responsible for overseeing the network’s risk management framework and compliance strategy, including complaints handling, data protection and GDPR compliance, and the maintenance of the compliance manual.
He will also manage adviser and product risk and provide regulatory updates to the board.
He previously spent six years at The Right Mortgage & Protection Network, working as both compliance manager and business development manager between 2017 and 2023.
During that period, he mentored 24 non-CAS advisers, implemented new management information frameworks, and acted as the network’s vulnerable customer champion.
Pearson was most recently compliance manager at Mortgage Connect (NI) Ltd and has also held positions with LSL Property Services, Accenture Operations, UKAR, the Financial Ombudsman Service, KPMG and Deloitte.
He holds a range of professional qualifications including Cert SMP (Supervision & Management of People), CeMAP, RO1, RO5, RO7, ER1 and IF7.
His areas of expertise include Consumer Duty implementation, adviser supervision, complaints oversight, anti-money laundering and financial crime controls.
