The Right Mortgage launches adviser academy

Published on

The Right Mortgage & Protection Network has launched a training programme aimed at bringing new advisers into the mortgage and protection sector.

The Right Academy has been designed to support aspiring mortgage and protection advisers with the knowledge, skills and supervision needed to build a career in financial services.

The Right Mortgage & Protection Network said the launch comes as the industry faces a growing need to attract new talent, improve diversity and open up career opportunities across the sector.

The programme will support new entrants, particularly those working towards competent adviser status, by combining structured learning with hands-on experience and supervision.

Advisers joining The Right Academy will begin as trainees and receive support from dedicated compliance and supervision managers, as well as TRM’s training and compliance teams.

The programme includes a three-day induction, bespoke support through sign-off, ongoing training towards competent adviser status, specialist masterclasses, training to help advisers generate their own leads, and a structured route to becoming an appointed representative.

TRM has also launched a new Supervision Hub on its adviser website, providing additional tools and resources to support advisers and firms through the non-CAS process.

Ben Allen, managing director at The Right Mortgage & Protection Network, said: “At a time when the industry is facing a clear need to attract and retain new talent, initiatives like The Right Academy are essential.

“It is not just about bringing more people into the sector but about doing so in the right way, with the structure, oversight and long-term opportunities that set them up for success.

“This is something I feel incredibly passionate about. This industry has been very good to me, and The Right Academy is about opening the door for others to build the same rewarding careers, while helping to improve the sector, increase diversity and give something back.

“For TRM, this is about strengthening the quality and resilience of our network for years to come. By investing in people at the very start of their journey, we are helping to build a stronger, more sustainable adviser community that benefits firms, clients and the wider market.”
