The Right Mortgage & Protection Network has appointed Rebecca Egerton as head of The Right Academy.
The Right Academy provides firms with a structured route in order to bring new advisers into the profession.
It includes induction training, development support, supervision, masterclasses and ongoing training towards Competent Adviser Status (CAS).
Last month The Right Academy announced it has already developed 35 trainee advisers since its launch earlier this year, with a target of appointing 100 trainee advisers by the end of 2026.
In her new role, she will oversee, run and develop The Right Academy, being responsible for the co-ordination of the training and development programme for non-CAS advisers within the network.
Egerton moves into the role from her previous position as supervision and development manager with The Right Mortgage, where she worked across both the main network and its subsidiary, The Later Life Lending Network. She joined the business in October 2022.
She will report into Jack Norrey, compliance director at The Right Mortgage & Protection Network.
Egerton (pictured), head of The Right Academy, commented: “I am very pleased to be taking on this role at such an important time for The Right Academy and for the wider profession.
“My own route into financial services was not a straight line, and that is one of the reasons I feel so strongly about creating clear and supported routes for people within our industry.
“There is so much talent available, but people need the right structure, training and support if they are going to build lasting careers.
“The Academy is not just about helping individuals achieve CAS. It is about helping our member firms develop the right staff, providing them with confidence, and as a result, creating adviser businesses that are stronger in the long term.”
