The Mansfield Building Society has announced the appointment of Richard Crisp as commercial development executive.

Crisp will lead the Society’s sales, marketing and customer engagement strategy. He has spent over 25 years working in or for a number of major financial services organisations, including 13 years in the mutual sector.

He joins the society’s management team.

Gev Lynott, chief executive of the Mansfield, said: “Richard’s track record in financial services, including senior positions at Experian as well as with The Derbyshire, will be of immense value to us.

“We have ambitious plans to develop our retail and intermediary business and I am sure that Richard’s experience and knowledge will be invaluable in helping us to fulfil our plans.”

Crisp added: “It’s exciting to be involved with such a well regarded society that is proving to be well placed to meet the needs of consumers in today’s competitive marketplace.

“I’m looking forward to working with my new colleagues and mortgage introducers to support the Society’s mortgage growth and deliver greater value to its members.”
