Thameside Associates extends decade-long Stonebridge tie as it gears up for expansion

Mortgage and protection firm Thameside Associates has renewed its partnership with network Stonebridge as it prepares to grow adviser numbers and turnover.

The Suffolk-headquartered business has agreed a long-term extension to its relationship with Stonebridge, marking 10 years since the two firms first began working together.

The move comes as Thameside Associates sets out plans to increase the size of its adviser team and develop its management structure in support of a larger operation.

The firm currently operates with 16 advisers and six administrators. Of the adviser team, 15 are self-employed, while the administrators provide tailored support across the business.

Mark Noe, director at Thameside Associates, said: “We enjoy a strong relationship with Stonebridge and value the hands-on support and guidance the network provides. We’ve extended our partnership because it gives us the certainty and confidence that we have the right support in place as we look to scale the business.

“We’ve built a strong team and a solid platform for growth, and we’re excited to be expanding the number of advisers. We will also be strengthening the management team to eliminate any growing pains as we target higher turnover.”

The firm said Stonebridge’s relationship-led approach and practical business support were central to its decision to continue the arrangement, with regular engagement cited as helpful in supporting strategic decision-making.

Under the renewed agreement, Thameside Associates will continue to use Stonebridge’s wholly-owned technology platform, Revolution, alongside compliance, operational and business development support.

Rob Clifford, chief executive at Stonebridge, said: “Thameside is a great example of an ambitious, well-run firm with clear growth plans. I have worked alongside its current owners and predecessors for over a decade and we are delighted that Stonebridge is continuing our partnership and supporting the business as it looks to expand.

“Strong relationships and tailored support are real strengths of our network, and longstanding, loyal member firms like Thameside are our lifeblood.”
