Distributor TFC Homeloans is partnering with Precise Mortgages to offer ‘specialist lending masterclasses’.

The events will take place in London, Wolverhampton and Cheshire between January and February.

Roger Morris, Precise Mortgages’ director of sales, will provide an overview of specialist mortgages, bridging finance and second charge loans. He will deal with topics such as borrower’s income when accessing accounts, SA30s and how to ensure accountants’ cover letters provide the correct information which is required by a lender following the regulatory changes launching in January 2015.

Other speakers include Precise Mortgages’ national sales manager, James Briggs, who will cover second charge lending more thoroughly. He will be followed by TFC Homeloans’ head of intermediary sales, Les Daley, who will discuss commercial lending.

Andrew Brown, director of TFC Homeloans, said: “Partnering with leading lenders like Precise Mortgages is a great way for us to support our Brokers through training which will be of value to them. These masterclasses present a fantastic opportunity for us to work closely with brokers, covering new regulation and specialist products which we know will be of benefit to their business.

“This year our focus will evolve around the service we can offer to our brokers. Changes to our Smart Source portal will take the heavy lifting out of sourcing products both high street and specialist whilst meeting the FCA’s compliancy requirements. In addition to this, we have recruited two new designated New Business Support Teams who will assist brokers with every case from initial enquiry through to completion.

“The free masterclasses are certain to prove very popular and we hope to hold more of these later in the year. We urge any brokers who are interested in attending to secure their place quickly to avoid disappointment.”

Morris added: “The opportunities that 2015 will have to offer should be amazing but what will give you the edge over other brokers? What will help you generate extra income and referrals from professionals who need your help and expertise? Do you fully understand the specialist lending market? Our specialist lending masterclasses are here to help’.”
