TFC Homeloans has appointed Dan Brown as its chief technical officer.

Brown will have full responsibility and oversight of all of the IT systems for the national business, as well as driving the development of the firm’s CaseBldr sourcing and case management system.

His experience includes 17 years’ software engineering and design expertise, playing a lead role in the development of both the mortgage sourcing system Orbiter and packaging administration system Gravity.

Nigel Payne, managing director of TFC, said: “Distributors need robust, quality technology to survive in today’s lending market, and having the best people in place to manage these systems is vital.

“Dan Brown is a proven expert not only in financial services technology but he has many years’ specific expertise in mortgage packaging systems. This made him the first choice for us to manage our information technology and deliver industry-first features on our CaseBldr system in the coming months.”

Brown added: “TFC is a firm that takes technology seriously and I am thrilled to be part of a team that is committed to putting innovative software systems at the heart of its operations. The management team understands that the best technology enhances the overall experience for our broker and lender partners, and allows us to work more effectively.”
