Stonebridge welcomes Apex Mortgage & Protection

Stonebridge has welcomed broker, Apex Mortgage & Protection, to the network.

Apex Mortgage & Protection is the latest firm to choose Stonebridge as their network partner, citing the network’s strategy and hands-on support as key reasons for their decision to join.

York-based Apex, which joins from Primis, currently has 21 advisers and advises clients across the whole of the UK having originated over £200m of lending for more than 1,000 borrowers in 2024.

Lewis Papa, managing director at Apex Mortgage & Protection, said: “After a challenging year in an unstable mortgage market, Apex Mortgage & Protection is ready for a fresh start and a renewed vision for the future. Stonebridge stood out as a network that not only understood our circumstances but truly championed our potential.

“Their dynamic mindset and unwavering support have reignited our ambition, and we’re ready to surpass our previous achievements with Stonebridge by our side. This year, we’re here to smash records, expand our reach, and continue helping clients with the best mortgage advice and protecting families across the UK.”

Rob Clifford, chief executive at Stonebridge, added: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Apex Mortgage & Protection to the Stonebridge family. They are a firm whose values fit well with ours, with both firms highly ambitious and committed to delivering sector-leading service.

“We view our relationships with our Appointed Representatives as a partnership, giving them the autonomy, technology, and support they need to achieve their business goals. Stonebridge attracts more AR firms than any other mortgage network – which speaks volumes about the benefits to member firms.

“Lewis and the team have already built a fantastic business at Apex, and yet they still have so much potential. We look forward to helping them execute their strategy over the coming months and years.”
