Source Insurance has launched a new product targeted at new build properties.

The new product is underwritten by UKG/Ageas and is based on The Source’s very popular Sentinel household product range. It offers enhancements in the form of additional premium discounts for properties less than 14 years old tapering to a significant discount for properties less than one year old, as well as the premium discounts, the product comes with an extended quote guarantee period of up to six months.

The Sentinel range comes with up to £500,000 of buildings cover, £50,000 of contents cover plus Trace and Access included as standard.

Brian Coulton, The Source’s head of sales, said: “We have been working on this product for some time in the wake of the resurgence of the property market and the popularity of the governments Help to Buy scheme, many of our brokers have been asking for a specialist new build household policy.”

Kevin Paterson, The Source managing director, added: “This further strengthens our proposition and our ambition to become the GI platform of choice.”
