SMS appoints office manager

Solent Mortgage Services (SMS) has announced the appointment of Debbie Robson as office manager.

Robson started her career in mortgages with the Halifax and then became a team leader for Purely Mortgages. She then spent seven years with financial services firm, Affinion International, where she was responsible for leading and managing a protection team.

She will be in day-to-day charge of the SMS team while introducing new processes to complement the major IT upgrades taking place in January.

Ian Balfour, chief executive at SMS, said: “We are delighted to welcome Debbie to SMS. Her experience in running teams as well as her knowledge of the market and compliance requirements, made her the ideal choice as office manager.

“SMS is expanding to meet the needs of its introducers in 2016 and with many enhancements on the way, we are looking forward to providing a service which will evolve and develop to allow brokers, old and new, to confidently place their business with us. Debbie will help us to achieve that goal.”
