Smoove launches digital onboarding platform

Published on

Smoove has announced the full market roll out of its digital onboarding platform, Smoove Start, which helps estate agents and their clients streamline and speed up administrative tasks involved in a property transaction, following a pilot scheme.

The platform collates all key tasks under one roof when onboarding a new buyer or seller, including ID and AML checks, EPCs and title deeds. It avoids the administration burden of multiple systems, chasing clients and removing unnecessary delays.

The platform is helping estate agents and home movers by collecting upfront information on the selected property when they log-in. Property checks and important documents are also automated on the system and help simplify the often complicated, and stressful process of moving home. By improving transparency, Smoove Start aims to help to reduce fall throughs, whilst providing visibility of any issues upfront early in the home moving process and ensuring less time is wasted on admin.

Smoove Start brings efficiencies to the compliance process and helps estate agents meet the latest regulatory requirements, whilst allowing full disclosure of relevant property information upfront for prospective buyers.

Simon McCulloch, Smoove’s chief commercial and growth officer, said: “The analogue and time-consuming nature of tying up a sale and ‘Knowing Your Customer’ is a major pain point for estate agents. As these processes have increased, estate agents often face too much hassle, admin and red tape when agreeing a sale. By removing this burden and automating the process, as well as being up-to-date on the latest regulation, Smoove Start provides a solution that will improve transparency and efficiency between the agents, buyers and sellers connected with the sale.

“Upfront checks, whether this is for anti-money laundering, ID Verification, EPCs or land registry checks, provide an early warning system of any issues that might slow up the move. Smoove is constantly innovating, keeping up with industry trends and regulations so that other parties in the home moving process don’t have to. The platform is simple, efficient and all in one place for agents to use.”
