SBG gets CII accreditation for gap-fill library

Published on

Sesame Bankhall Group’s (SBG) RDR gap-fill library for advisers has been received official CPD accreditation from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

Earlier this year, SBG introduced a new flexible and interactive gap-fill library with the aim to improve the learning experience for busy advisers. It contains a mixture of videos, case studies, reading and short question tests that help to validate advisers’ learning, or be used as a gap-fill activity on their own.

Advisers can also use SBG’s gap-fill library to develop their own tailored plan.

The CII has also confirmed that SBG has been successful in the annual review of its adviser learning events programme. The CII’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation enables advisers to clearly see the credits / hours that can be achieved linked to the learning events they attend, which assists them in their ongoing CPD requirements.

“Gaining the CII’s gap fill accreditation demonstrates the quality and value of our learning support,” said Lisa Winnard, Sesame Bankhall Group’s director of HR and development.

“Our gap fill library has been designed to cater for different learning styles and enables advisers to fill all gaps as quickly as possible, leaving them with plenty of time to apply for their Statement of Professional Standing ahead of the RDR deadline.

“Together with our qualifications, business development and RDR transition support – delivered online and face-to-face – advisers can be confident in the knowledge that we are providing a comprehensive and high quality learning support programme that will help them to meet the professional and regulatory challenges ahead.”

Steve Jenkins, director for financial services markets at the CII, added: “Continuing professional development is a core part of professionalism; it builds consumer confidence by maintaining standards of technical expertise and practical application of knowledge and the CII is pleased to recognise Sesame Bankhall Group’s excellent adviser gap-fill library.

“It provides technical content, practical application and caters for a variety of learning styles. I am sure many advisers will find it enormously useful.”
