Santander to cut mortgage fees for current account holders

Santander is tomorrow (12 September) launching a new range of mortgages available to its existing current account holders which offers a £500 discount off the standard £995 booking fee.

Existing current account holders can now take advantage of some exclusive fixed and tracker rates, starting from 2.04% and all with a booking fee of £495.

Available to both homebuyers and remortgagers, these include:

  • Two year tracker at 2.04% (BBR +1.54%) available up to 70% LTV
  • Two year fix at 2.39% available up to 70% LTV
  • Five year fix at 3.29% available up to 70% LTV
  • Two-year tracker at 2.94% (BBR +2.44%), available up to 85% LTV
  • Two-year fix at 3.19%, available up to 85% LTV
  • Five-year fix at 3.85%, available up to 80% LTV

All current account exclusive products come with Santander’s unique Homebuyer or Remortgage Solutions, offering a free valuation and £250 cashback for those buying a new home, and a free valuation and £250 cashback or free legals for those re-mortgaging.

In addition, Santander 1|2|3 Current Account customers who pay their monthly Santander mortgage payment by direct debit will receive 1% cashback on maximum monthly mortgage payments of £1,000.

These products, together with the continued benefit of 1% cashback to our 1|2|3 Current Account holders, demonstrate our commitment to providing our customers with good value, competitively priced mortgages.”
