Santander has become the latest lender to back the government’s Help to Buy Mortgage Guarantee Scheme.

The lender says it will be participating in the Government’s Help to Buy Mortgage Guarantee Scheme when it officially launches on 2 January 2014.

Santander says it welcomes initiatives that help ease the flow of credit to consumers and supports home-ownership.

It will confirm details of products and the application process closer to the start date.
