Rockstead has announced a change at the top of its leadership team, with John Barbour appointed chief executive officer and company founder Brian Pitt moving into the role of executive chairman.
The pair will work closely together to oversee a smooth handover and maintain continuity for clients and staff.

Pitt said: “This is the right time for John to assume this role. John and I will continue to work closely with the board and senior team to support the business and deliver on our long-term goals.”

Barbour, previously chief commercial officer, said: “Naturally, I am delighted to be taking on this role and look forward to working closely with Brian over the coming months as we roll out our plans for 2026 and beyond.”
Pitt added that the move represented “a natural and positive evolution” for the business. “John has played a central role in our growth and success, and his leadership, energy, and commitment to our clients and people make him the ideal person to guide the company through its next chapter,” he said.
Rockstead, which Pitt founded and has led since its inception, provides independent audit, due diligence and risk management services to clients across the financial services sector. The company said it remains focused on maintaining its reputation for reliability, expertise and innovation as it continues to build on its established position in the market.
