Pink Network has unveiled a Life Desk facility to help appointed representatives (ARs) place more complex life and protection cases.

The telephone based service will help Pink AR’s to research the market and place protection cases for ‘non standard’ and ‘impaired life’ clients.

The Life Desk team have undergone a programme of training, supported directly by Pink’s provider partners underwriting teams, to build direct links to decision makers to discuss more complex cases. Pink’s exclusive protection panel providers – Aviva, Bright Grey, Exeter Family Friendly, LV=, Pru Protect & Zurich will form the primary panel when placing cases, but the ‘Life Desk’ team will also have access to selected off-panel providers, including some who specialise in non-standard business.

Jon Bourne, national account manager for LV=, said “One of the reasons we enjoy working so closely with Pink is that they’re continually looking to enhance the support they give their advisers.

“The ‘Life Desk’ tool is another great example of how they do this and will help their advisers grow their protection business.”

Mark Graves, head of Pink Network, added: “The launch of the Life Desk represents the next stage in our protection development and training programme for ARs. It is vitally important that we continue to develop and adapt solutions that will assist our AR’s to grow their businesses. This will build on the excellent foundations we created in 2012, which was a record year for protection sales for us and saw a 48% increase in overall business volumes.

“This launch is just part of our 2013 strategy which will focus on our key areas of training and support.”
