Paymentshield has made a series of sales appointments, in a move it said reinforces its focus on helping advisers in their day-to-day roles.
As part of the changes, Alistair Brown has been promoted to head of national sales and key accounts.
He brings more than 30 years of industry experience and will work with the firm’s largest accounts to understand their businesses, including challenges, objectives and growth opportunities.
Brown commented: “We’re focused on responding in both a practical and supportive way to the pressures advisers face such as time constraints, competing priorities and a market often driven by price, with many customers still progressing through the mortgage journey without the protection they truly need.
“It also means staying close to the wider market – listening, learning, and adapting – in order to continue addressing adviser needs and reflecting broader industry demands”.
Brown will focus on driving sustainable growth at Paymentshield while maintaining good customer outcomes, with the firm saying he will also look to simplify and integrate general insurance more holistically into the advice process, where opportunities remain.
Sophie Johnson-Fyles and Alec Goodwin have also been appointed as business development managers. They will work directly with authorised firms and connect partners with the wider business, supporting existing relationships.
The firm said their roles will provide insight and guidance to advisers, helping improve GI performance and drawing on expertise across Paymentshield’s wider teams, including marketing and partner support functions.
Brown added: “Strong partnerships are built through collaboration, shared knowledge and a clear understanding of what advisers need to succeed.
“By working closely with our partners and bringing together expertise from across the business, we can continue to deliver the support, insight and solutions that help advisers maximise their performance and grow their GI business.”
