Paymentshield has appointed John Price as national sales manager.

Price has over 25 years’ experience in the industry with roles at businesses including Connells, Countrywide, HSBC and most recently an MAB mortgage business.

He joins the general insurance provider to develop long term partnerships with advisers, helping them to integrate a conversation about general insurance into their sales processes, delivering recurring revenue and value to their business.

Emma Green, head of sales at Paymentshield, said: “Paymentshield was started by mortgage advisers for mortgage advisers and we have invested significant time in recruiting and training good BDMs who understand intermediary businesses and the importance of committed and experienced sales support.

“John has a depth and breadth of experience that is difficult to find and will be a very valuable addition not just to our team, but also to our advisers.”

Price added; “As a former adviser and experienced sales manager, I know that Paymentshield has a great reputation for providing intermediaries with the comprehensive product proposition and support they need to grow their business.

“I can’t wait to get started and help our advisers to ensure their clients have the right cover at the same time as building a profitable mortgage book.”
