Paradigm to offer later life lending event

Published on

Paradigm Mortgage Services is to hold its first later life lending event in June.

The half-day event will take place on general election day, 8 June, in London at the Grange Holborn Hotel, 50-60 Southampton Row, WC1B 4AR, and will begin with registration and coffee at 10am, followed by a series of seminar sessions covering a range of later life lending topics.

Alongside presentations from four lenders/providers – Hodge Lifetime, Family Building Society, Marsden Building Society and One Family – attendees will also hear from The Right Equity Release – Paradigm’s referral partner, and a market update on Later Life Lending from head of Paradigm Services, John Coffield.

All of the presentations will be focused on helping advisers identify trends and potential later life lending clients, and in addition they will look at the recent growth and innovation in lending products and allow advisers to gain a better understanding of these.

Lunch will also be provided and delegates can earn both structured and unstructured CPD points by attending.

Advisers can register for this event, and all other Paradigm events including Mortgage Masterclasses, Mortgage & Protection Events and Specialist Protection Events by visiting: www.paradigmmortgages.com/DA/event_registration.php

John Coffield, head of Paradigm Mortgage Services, said: “The market for Later Life lending has grown considerably over the past year, and demand for such products is at an all-time high, based on factors such as consumer demographics, lending appetite, plus a need to solve ongoing problems such as the ‘interest-only time bomb’. Because of this we now have lenders actively innovating in this sector, and with each passing week, advisers will find new product propositions or lending criteria available that simply did not exist before.

“We therefore believe it’s important that advisers are fully up-to-speed with this diverse and fast-moving sector and are therefore holding our first workshop event on later life lending in June. This event will give advisers a valuable insight into this specialist branch of lending as well as looking at how they can enter into, and operate in, this expanding market. It also offers attendees the chance to hear the latest regulatory and market news, plus an opportunity to meet with expert staff from some of Paradigm’s top later life lenders, engage with them and learn about what they have to offer now and in the future.

“It promises to be a very informative and popular event, so we would recommend advisers book early and we look forward to bringing the adviser community together in London in June to hear about the great strides that are being made in this sector.”
