OMS launches protection referral partnership with The Insurance Surgery

Published on

One Mortgage System (OMS), the CRM and loan origination platform for intermediaries and lenders, has announced a new partnership with specialist protection broker The Insurance Surgery.

The partnership introduces a direct integration between the two businesses, allowing users to refer protection cases from within the OMS platform.

With a single click, relevant client information can be securely transferred to The Insurance Surgery, removing the need to rekey data and reducing administration.

The integration comes in response to growing demand from OMS users, many of whom already work with The Insurance Surgery, to support clients with more complex protection requirements.

It forms part of OMS’ wider strategy of creating a more connected adviser ecosystem through partnerships that improve efficiency, strengthen customer outcomes and simplify the advice process.

Founded more than 25 years ago, The Insurance Surgery specialises in arranging life and protection cover for individuals who may face challenges securing insurance through mainstream routes, including those with pre-existing medical conditions, hazardous occupations and unusual lifestyle circumstances.

OMS is the UK’s only end-to-end platform covering residential, buy-to-let, second charge, equity release, bridging, and commercial mortgages – plus general insurance, and protection – to provide users with best in class for product sourcing, protection sourcing and criteria searching.

Jodie Andrews (pictured), head of marketing, sales and partnerships at One Mortgage System, commented: “The most successful brokers are increasingly building ecosystems around their businesses, combining their own expertise with specialist partners who can add value in areas outside their core proposition.

“Protection is a natural example of this, particularly as clients continue to expect broader, more joined-up financial support.

“Technology should make those relationships easier to manage. By creating stronger links between firms and reducing manual processes, brokers can access additional services for their clients without creating additional work for themselves.”

Andy Mellor, managing director at The Insurance Surgery added: “We’re delighted to partner with OMS and make specialist protection support even easier for advisers to access.

“OMS have been incredibly proactive in getting this integration in place, and it’s a really positive step forward as we move one step closer to bridging the accessibility gap in protection and helping more clients get the cover they need, whatever their circumstances.”
