OMS and Monument Technology join forces to deliver integrated lending platform

Published on

One Mortgage System (OMS) has partnered with Monument Technology in a move designed to deliver a fully integrated, end-to-end banking and loan origination platform for lenders across the UK.

The collaboration will see OMS’s originations solution embedded within Monument’s Banking Platform as a Service (BPaaS), offering banks, building societies and specialist lenders a unified infrastructure for originating and managing loans.

Both firms launched their respective platforms in 2023 and say the partnership represents a step change in the way financial institutions can access, process and manage lending products.

Through the agreement, OMS Originations enables lenders to manage the full loan journey across intermediary and direct submission channels. Features include a product engine, instant decisioning, bespoke underwriting tools and audit trails, alongside support for a broad array of complex product types including semi-commercial, self-build, expat, and retirement interest-only mortgages.

The solution will sit within Monument Technology’s broader BPaaS environment, which spans digital channels, core banking, and servicing functions. Monument’s platform includes native mobile and web apps, third-party licences, and maintenance, all under a single contract.

Dale Jannels (pictured), chief executive of One Mortgage System, said the partnership marked a significant step forward in providing an integrated service model to the lending market.

“Partnering with Monument Technology is a significant step in our journey towards a full end-to-end service proposition and has already enabled us to engage with many lenders seeking to move providers,” he said.

“With the emergence of AI, it’s clear that choosing the right technology partner is high on the agenda for many banks, building societies and specialist lenders as their needs, along with the needs of their borrowers, savers and brokers are changing. Gone are the days of staying with archaic platforms because it’s ‘always been that way’.”

Steve Britain, chief executive of Monument Technology, added that the collaboration had already seen success with its first client.

“We are delighted to be partnering with OMS to integrate their broker portal and mortgage origination capability with the end-to-end Monument platform to enable our first client, Ecology Building Society, to dramatically enhance their lending proposition. We also look forward to bringing OMS and the Monument Technology platform together for the benefit of other clients going forward,” he said.
