NatWest Intermediary Solutions has appointed two new area sales managers (ASMs).

Helen Rudd and Scott Kennedy will manage teams of field business development managers (BDMs) in the North of England and London and the South East respectively.

Both have previously held mortgage positions within the RBS Group and will take up their new roles at the start of December.

Rudd has spent the last 12 years as a BDM working with brokers in East Yorkshire and North East Lincolnshire. She has been in the mortgage market for 25 years, having previously worked as a broker for Reed Rains.

She will have a team of seven BDMs reporting to her covering an area from Scotland through the North East and Yorkshire to the Midlands.

Kennedy is returning to NatWest Intermediary Solutions from the RBS Group’s products and marketing team, where he worked for the last three years on developing mortgages for both the intermediary and retail channels. He has a wealth of experience in the mortgage and wider financial services sector.

He will have a team of 10 BDMs reporting to him and will be responsible for the East of England and London.

Mark Bullard, head of sales, NatWest Intermediary Solutions, said: “I am delighted that we have been able to bolster our intermediary-facing sales team with two such capable individuals. Both bring with them a wealth of experience of the mortgage market and possess the leadership qualities that will see us continue to enhance our reputation as a lender that is at the forefront of intermediary support.

“Our ambition is to grow our lending and develop further our product and service propositions in the intermediary market. We have significantly grown our dedicated intermediary sales and support teams this year to reflect that and are currently recruiting for more high quality BDMs.”
