Shawbrook Bank has hired Joanna Hatch as a lending officer in its commercial mortgages team.

She will be the 10th lending officer and will have responsibility for managing completions of mortgage applications.

The lender said that day-to-day, Hatch (pictured) will be actively liaising with brokers and solicitors to drive forward applications and keep relevant parties informed at all times.

She previously worked at Royal Bank of Scotland for seven and a half years where her roles included debt recovery and telephony positions. For the past three years she has been working as a portfolio manager helping commercial customers operate and expand their business whilst maintaining their existing facilities.

Hatch said: “I am excited to meet and work with new people both in the Shawbrook team and our wider industry partners.

“Having worked with a wide range of commercial customers to improve their businesses, I am looking forward to immersing myself in the commercial mortgages sector and facing a fresh challenge.”

Karen Bennett, sales and marketing director for commercial mortgages, added: “Bringing in Joanna’s knowledge and range of client management expertise will ensure that all aspects of mortgage deals are given due care and attention.

“With experience of helping clients get the most out of their businesses, Joanna has an excellent understanding of client priorities and the importance of securing finance efficiently.”
