New jobs at Target Group

Target Group has created over 250 new jobs.

The planned expansion follows last week’s announcement of its acquisition by Tech Mahindra.

The majority of these new roles are based in Cardiff and Newport and include positions in IT and software development, Customer Services, Complaints, Investments, Project Management, Business Analysis, Risk & Compliance and a number of corporate roles at a variety of levels of experience. A number of roles will also be created in the firm’s Chester office.

The software and servicing provider which was set up in Cardiff in 1979 will now employ over 900 people. This announcement comes in addition to the 110 extra jobs created by the group towards the end of 2015.

Ian Larkin (pictured), co-group CEO Target Group, said: “Our growth is testament to our fantastic team and the great list of clients we have partnering with us, and we are continuing in that vein this year. By joining with Tech Mahindra we now have an even stronger proposition with which to pursue new opportunities in the banking financial services and insurance markets globally, which in turn will allow us to expand our presence even further in South Wales.”

Rhiannon Williams, HR director at Target Group, added: “We are delighted to be creating 250 new career opportunities with the majority in South Wales. We have a wide variety of jobs available ranging from Customer Services positions to financial roles.

“We have been incredibly impressed with the talent on offer in the local area and our aim is to always attract and further develop the best the region has to offer.”
