Dudley Building Society is to move to a new head office building.

The move will take place over the weekend of the 19-20 October and the offices will be fully operational on 21 October.

The new offices provide the Society with nearly 6000 square feet of space, spread over two floors, to accommodate the growth of the business both now and in the future.

The main branch office remains in the centre of Dudley.

Dudley Building Society chief executive Jeremy Wood said: “Dudley Building Society has been a fixture of the local landscape for over 150 years and we continue to draw our sense of purpose and belonging from our Black Country roots.

“Our new head office gives us the room to build on those strong local bonds and as our forward looking plans begin to mature, we shall be looking to add to the 10 head office roles we have already created this year. We now have a wonderful base from which to develop all aspects of our business, which in turn will benefit our members, as well as provide additional work opportunities in and around the Dudley area.”

John Polychronakis, chief executive of Dudley Council, added: “ It is encouraging to see a local business, particularly one with such historic links to Dudley, committed to a plan for growth.

“The opening of Dudley Building Society’s new head office, here in its heartland, is the kind of positive statement that can only spell good news for the area and prospects for fresh job creation.”
