New boss at Vertex

Chris-Thompson

Vertex Financial Services has promoted Chris Thompson to the role of CEO.

Thompson (pictured) joined the provider of outsourced solutions to the UK mortgage market in early 2012 as chief information officer (CIO), with over 20 years experience in spearheading multi-million-pound business and IT projects.

Before joining Vertex, Thompson worked as CIO of Mortgages at Lloyds Banking Group and IT director at West Bromwich Building Society.

Thompson said: “Vertex delivers both business process outsourcing (BPO) and technology solutions to some of the UK’s best-known mortgage brands. These services will become ever more important and popular as the industry adapts to the changing regulatory landscape with the introduction of the Mortgage Market Review (MMR).

“We are ahead of large parts of the market in that we are fully geared up to deliver MMR-compliant services to our clients and their customers. We recently became the first third-party provider in the sector to secure a variation of permission (VOP) to offer mortgage advice.”
