New BDMs for Fleet Mortgages

Published on

Fleet Mortgages has expanded its sales team with the addition of two further field-based business development managers (BDMs).

The pair are Dan Watson covering the South East, and Adam Young covering Central London and the City. Both will be working with existing distribution partners in these regions, as well as developing new intermediary relationships.

Watson (pictured) began with Fleet Mortgages as its marketing executive before taking over a sales manager position in the middle of 2015. He will cover the South East region, not including London.

Young joined Fleet Mortgages last July as a sales executive, having graduated from the University of Manchester with a BSc in International Management. He now moves up to the BDM role covering Central London and the City.

Both report to sales director, Ross Turrell, and join Kathryn Sheppard (Northern England) and Paul Rockett (South West) who became Fleet Mortgages’ BDMs in November last year. Mark Whitear and Stuart Kay complete the sales team as key account managers.

Bob Young, chief executive officer of Fleet Mortgages, said: “We begin the new year as we ended 2015, with a focus on delivering a quality proposition and providing the highest levels of service to our distribution partners. In order to continue doing this we are expanding our sales team to ensure we have individuals out in the field working with our much-valued brokers.

“Both Dan and Adam have worked successfully as ‘internal BDMs’ at Fleet Mortgages and have developed some excellent intermediary contacts as a result of their hard work. They are now taking on two very important regions – the South East and Central London and the City – and their remit is to spread the Fleet Mortgages’ message and to educate and inform intermediaries about our product and service offering, and how this is suitable for an evolving buy-to-let marketplace.

“2016 could be a rollercoaster ride for the mortgage market as a whole, but particularly for those involved in the buy-to-let sector. It’s therefore absolutely vital that the Fleet Mortgages’ sales team are available to answer all questions and queries, and to support intermediaries and their clients.

“Both Dan and Adam have the skills and attributes to do this and they are looking forward to being out in the field developing new and existing relationships, and supporting the wide variety of businesses dealing with Fleet Mortgages.”
