New BDM for Kensington

Gemma Lang has joined Kensington as business development manager (BDM) for the North London area.

She replaces Paul Weatherhogg, who recently moved to become Kensington’s key account manager for specialist distribution.

Lang (pictured) has 12 years’ banking experience, joining Kensington after three years as a BDM at Virgin Money. Prior to joining Virgin, she worked as a branch manager at Leeds Building Society and Santander.

She said: “The changing shape of employment across our country is driving growth in the specialist lending sector. With 20 years of experience in dealing with real life lending cases, Kensington is in a strong position to make the most of the UK’s growing need for specialist mortgages.

“I look forward to working with my colleagues over the coming months to grow Kensington’s business in London North as the company looks to develop its proposition to help more people secure the mortgages they need.”

Steve Griffiths, sales and distribution director at Kensington Mortgages, said: “We are excited to welcome Gemma to our team at a time when Kensington has big plans to meet the growing need for specialist mortgages.

“Gemma’s background in banking and her wealth of experience working with intermediaries will play a vital role in helping to grow Kensington’s business relationships in London.”
