Mortimer Street Capital and Visionary Finance have appointed Tom Madden as director of both businesses with immediate effect.
Madden (pictured) joins from LendInvest, where he spent more than 10 years in a variety of senior leadership roles, most recently as director of structured finance and syndication. Prior to that, he spent more than 10 years in a fund management business where he led the commercial team.
Mortimer Street Capital is a real estate debt advisory firm specialising in arranging structured finance, development loans, bridging and commercial facilities.
Visionary Finance is an FCA-authorised brokerage advising UK and international clients on residential, buy-to-let and complex lending requirements.
Hiten Ganatra, managing director at Visionary Finance, said: “We are delighted that we can bring in someone of Tom’s experience and calibre at a time of strategic growth for both businesses.
“Our customers and our team will hugely benefit from his expertise, and I personally look forward to working alongside Tom to help drive the business through the next phase.”
Justin Towse, managing director at Mortimer Street Capital, said: “I’ve known Tom for many years and am delighted that he’s chosen to join us and build upon the undoubted success of the group.
“Mortimer Street Capital is a relatively young business, but we have big ambitions to be the go-to advisory firm in our market and the addition of Tom to help lead the team is another step towards this.”
Madden added: “After over 20 years in real estate finance within lenders, I feel it is the perfect time to move to the advisory side of the market. Having known and worked closely with Hiten and Justin for over nine years, I have seen the business evolve firsthand and I’m incredibly excited to drive further growth.
“They have built a fantastic team, and this is a great opportunity for me to leverage my experience. I’m looking forward to working directly with property developers and investors of all shapes and sizes to structure the best possible finance solutions for their projects.”
