Mortgage Marketing Forum relaunches under new leadership

Published on

The Mortgage Marketing Forum is set to relaunch in October under new ownership, with a renewed focus on peer networking, technology and business culture for marketing professionals working across the mortgage sector.

The initiative will be led by Matt Smith, managing director of strategy and communications agency wpb, who will take charge of the forum’s commercial direction.

He will be joined by financial journalist and Metro Money columnist Sarah Davidson, who also serves as wpb’s head of research, alongside Charlee McLaughlin, head of client engagement at the agency.

The relaunch follows the departure of the forum’s founder, Jeff Knight, in June. He recently announced he was heading up Momenti Group, a new specialist subsidiary of Pegasus Insight.

Smith said: “The forum will turn its focus to providing year-round events online, blending subject matter experts, high-level experienced guests, research insights and exclusive networking opportunities, reinforcing its commitment to building, challenging, and equipping tomorrow’s mortgage marketers.”

While maintaining its core mission, the forum will place greater emphasis on peer support, the adoption of new technology and AI, and developing commercial acumen, wpb said.

“We will be offering the same great service but plan to shift the forum’s focus to reflect our members’ needs in today’s market,” Smith added.
