More jobs to go at Lloyds Banking Group

Published on

Lloyds Banking Group is to cut 200 jobs in its general insurance division by the end of January 2010.

The banking group, 43% state-owned, is to merge a number of functions of Lloyds TSB and HBOS General Insurance.

The main locations affected are in Wales and Yorkshire.

Last month it announced plans to cut 1,200 jobs in its group operations and insurance business, taking the total number of redundancies announced since its ill-fated takeover of HBOS to over 8,000.
