MFS teams up with restaurant to support NHS workers

Market Financial Solutions (MFS) has partnered with fine-dining Indian restaurant Benares, to provide free freshly cooked, hot meals to NHS staff.

MFS is working in collaboration with Benares to jointly donate funds to cover the costs of the meals.

The Mayfair-based restaurant has been delivering daily takeaway food packages since 23 March to NHS doctors and nurses working to treat patients with COVID-19. For every takeaway order it receives from its paying customers, Benares also donates one meal to NHS workers in its local area.

Benares is delivering these food packages to Hammersmith, Charing Cross, Chelsea & Westminster and St Mary’s (Paddington) hospitals as well as local NHS medical centres in Mayfair, Knightsbridge and Victoria.

To date, Benares has delivered close to one thousand meals to NHS. MFS is encouraging other local businesses to get in touch to find out how they can take part in this initiative.

Tiba Raja, director of MFS, said: “The NHS is under enormous stress at the moment. So, given our close relationship with Benares, we are delighted to be working with them to support our crucial frontline staff. They deserve freshly cooked hot meals as delivered by Benares.”

“If there is one positive thing to come from this health crisis, it is the community spirit currently on show. Regardless of sector, businesses are rallying together and using available resources to help those in need. It is only by coming together as a community to support the NHS that we will be able to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.

“That is why we are encouraging anyone who’d like to get involved in this initiative to reach out to the MFS team.”
