Masthaven rolls out broker platform for specialist mortgage cases

Published on

Masthaven Finance has launched a new mortgage origination platform for brokers in the specialist mortgage market, as lenders continue to invest in technology aimed at speeding up case handling.

The lender said the system, called Originate, has been developed in partnership with Optalitix and is intended to make the submission and decision process more efficient for intermediaries.

Masthaven said the platform uses an integrated decision engine from LendingMetrics to automate its decision in principle and application process, with the aim of delivering quicker lending decisions and reducing manual administration.

The launch follows a six-month pilot with a selected group of brokers, during which the lender said the platform was refined ahead of its wider release.

Masthaven said no case will be declined automatically, with all submissions still reviewed by an individual and referrals continuing to be accepted where cases sit outside standard criteria.

Shelley Stern, director of mortgages at Masthaven Finance, said: “We are delighted to be deploying Originate, powered by Optalitix, to our broker partners.

“Through an enhanced decision engine, powered by LendingMetrics, the portal will enhance outcomes for brokers and customers and will improve efficiencies internally, allowing our team to focus on providing outstanding service to our broker partners.

“The system launch enables us to deliver our wider strategic plans and further support the intermediary market.”
