Mark Jones joins L&G as new product director

Legal & General has announced the appointment of Mark Jones as product director, UK protection for its insurance division.

Jones (pictured) joins Legal & General from Sun Life. He will be responsible for the development of both retail and group protection products across all distribution channels and will report to Steve Griffiths, managing director for UK protection.

Griffiths said: “I’m delighted that Mark has joined Legal & General, as our new product director. We are proud of our position in the protection market and Mark brings a wealth of experience which will help us to continue to develop exciting and innovative solutions for our customers.”

Jones added: “‘Legal & General has a great reputation for pricing plus technical expertise in claims and underwriting. My role is to focus on the products and ensure we can leverage our excellence to create the most compelling propositions for all our distribution channels and target markets. I’m genuinely excited to have this opportunity.”
