LMS deepens partnership with Gen H to support Scottish lending expansion

LMS has extended its relationship with Gen H as the lender moves into the Scottish market, establishing a bespoke legal panel to support its growth north of the border.

LMS, the conveyancing services provider, has been working with Gen H to help facilitate the lender’s expansion into Scotland, strengthening a partnership that began in July 2023 when Gen H joined LMS’s Panel Link service.

Gen H, a mortgage lender focused on borrowers who may struggle to access mainstream finance, was the 34th lender to join Panel Link at the time of its onboarding.

To support the move into Scotland, LMS has created a tailored panel of fully vetted law firms. The firms have met the company’s quality, security and compliance standards, with the intention of ensuring that cases are handled both safely and efficiently under the distinct Scottish legal framework.

As part of the expanded relationship, Gen H will continue to use other services available through Panel Link, including Secure Link and Charge Registration.

Secure Link is designed to streamline the post-offer query process by providing law firms with access to a knowledge base of lender-approved answers to frequently asked questions. The system aims to deliver immediate responses, reducing delays and improving operational efficiency for lenders during the conveyancing process.

Through its charge registration service, LMS manages registrations on behalf of lenders. The arrangement is intended to remove back-and-forth communication relating to pending charge registrations and simplify what can be an administratively complex stage of the transaction.
