L&G Ignite links to Lloyds Banking Group in first live product API integration

Published on

L&G’s Ignite platform has completed its first product API integration, connecting directly to Lloyds Banking Group to deliver live mortgage product data to brokers.

The integration provides a real-time feed of product information from Lloyds Banking Group into Ignite, allowing updates to be reflected automatically on the system as they are made by the lender.

L&G said the move is intended to streamline product onboarding and improve the broker experience by ensuring advisers are working from the most current data when researching options for clients.

The connection covers mortgage products from Lloyds Banking Group brands Halifax Intermediaries and BM Solutions, with information flowing directly into the Ignite sourcing platform.

Ignite has been developed to support mortgage research, enabling brokers to identify suitable lenders and products more efficiently. By integrating via an API rather than relying on manual updates, the platform aims to reduce lag between product changes and their visibility to intermediaries.

Kelly Bretherton, head of Ignite at L&G’s mortgage services business, said: “We’re delighted to launch Ignite’s first product API integration with Lloyds Banking Group.

“By enabling brokers to access LBG’s latest mortgage product data instantly and seamlessly through this connection, we’re setting a new standard for speed and accuracy in mortgage sourcing.”

Frances Cassidy, head of strategic & technology partnerships at Lloyds Banking Group, said: “Lloyds Banking Group is focused on delivering consistent, reliable connectivity for intermediaries and customers across the market.

“We welcome innovations that help advisers access accurate product information and smooth journeys, while remaining committed to Consumer Duty outcomes and robust data standards.”
