The Leek United Building Society has appointed Tracey Johnson as its new human resources (HR) director.

Johnson (pictured) has almost 30 years’ experience in HR/personnel within the housing and financial services sectors, including senior and executive-level positions.

She joins the Society from Newcastle-under-Lyme-based social housing provider Aspire Housing Ltd., where she was executive director for corporate services/business transformation.

Other roles include three years as senior HR manager with a City of London investment bank.

Her appointment is the first executive-level HR role to be created by the Society.

Johnson said: “It’s critical to the development and strategy within any organisation for its people to have a voice around the executive table.

“There are exciting challenges ahead, and I am very much looking forward to working with Leek United’s loyal, dedicated and expert team as the Society moves forward.”
