Leeds Halloween day raises cash for charity

Leeds Building Society raised £1,000 for local hospices via a seasonal charity day at its head office.

Events taking place included a cake sale, with prizes for the best Halloween or Bonfire Night decorated cake. The Society also held a ‘best parkin competition.

A dress down day also took place at the Society’s head office in Leeds, in return for a £2 donation from staff. Further funds were raised via a scary quiz.

This £1,000 raised from the mutual’s latest charity day means that just over £13,000 has been raised so far this year between St Gemma’s Hospice, Martin House Children’s Hospice and Tiny Lives special care baby unit.

During the remainder of the year, the £13,000 raised so far will be added to via an advent raffle during December.
