Keystone cuts buy-to-let rates by 10bps

Published on

Keystone Property Finance has cut rates across the majority of its buy-to-let range, reducing pricing by 10 basis points (bps) on several key product lines.

The specialist lender’s latest changes apply to its five-year fixed Standard, Specialist, Ex-pat and Holiday Let products, as well as to both HMO and multi-unit properties within the Specialist range.

The cuts cover loans for properties with between one and six, and seven and 15 occupants or units.

A similar reduction has been made to selected two-year fixed products, including those in the Specialist (7–15), Holiday Let and Expat categories. Keystone has also reduced rates by 10 basis points on its Product Transfer, PT Plus and Refurb to Let Exit products.

Following the changes, the lender’s range now starts at 2.94% for a two-year fixed rate at 70% LTV within the Standard range, while the Specialist range begins at 2.99% for the same term and LTV.

The Refurb to Let product starts from 4.74% at 65% LTV, Ex-pat from 4.14% at 65%, and Holiday Let from 4.89% at 65%. Product Transfer and PT Plus rates start from 4.64% at 65% LTV, while Switch & Fix begins at 5.79% at 65% LTV.

SIMPLIFICATION

Alongside the rate reductions, Keystone has introduced unified product codes across its range, simplifying the process for brokers by removing separate codes for individual and limited company applications.

Elise Coole (pictured), managing director at Keystone Property Finance, said: “Easing swap rates have given us the scope to reduce pricing, and we’re delighted to pass these savings on to brokers and their landlord clients straight away.

“At the same time, we’re simplifying how people do business with Keystone by introducing a single product code for each product, regardless of whether the application is in an individual’s name or limited company structure.

“These updates deliver sharper pricing and, with fewer friction points at full mortgage application, are designed to help brokers place cases with greater confidence.”
